3x3 Shot Clock Tournaments

If you’re getting ready for a season, one of the most effective ways to prepare is FIBA 3x3.

Traditional 5v5 doesn’t always provide enough opportunities to get the live offensive skill work, real-time decision-making, and game-speed shooting repetitions you need to prepare for an upcoming season. Shot Clock 3x3 is the perfect way to prepare.

With a 12-second shot clock and FIBA rules, 3x3 forces you to operate, read the defense, and make decisions at a much faster pace. You’re constantly attacking advantages, making reads, creating shots, and defending in situations where there is nowhere to hide.

And that’s one of the biggest advantages of 3x3: decision density.

In 3x3, you simply can’t disappear into a possession. You are involved in more actions, touch the ball more often, defend more frequently, and are responsible for making more decisions. That means more meaningful repetitions in the same amount of time.

And unlike drills, those repetitions happen in a live, competitive environment where the defense is actively trying to take your options away.

3x3 strips basketball down to its most demanding individual components—and puts those components under constant pressure.

Decisions become easier because the stress of the game has decreased. You’ve just spent time playing at a higher intensity, with more responsibility and fewer players to rely on. Your brain has been trained to process the game faster, so 5v5 reads become more natural.

That is the real value of 3x3. 

This is offered for grades (5-12)

Butler Date: 10/10 (Only grades 5-8 because of recruiting showcase)

Train and Play

Players will be broken into age based groups. Each group will have a 1.5 hour session to learn and play the game of 3x3. Spacing, reading the defense, screening angles and passing will be taught. 

Groups 4/5/6 grade boys and girls 9-10:30 am

Groups 7/8 grade boys and girls 10:30-12pm

Groups 9-12 grade boys and girls 12-1:30pm

Two Saturdays 9/26 and 10/3
